My main issue with her is one day she will break. She will fall into a spiral of fad diets and lipo and she won’t be Adele anymore she’ll be a clone. She’ll be a skinny-minnie with her tits out.
My issue with Adele is that she thinks she’s better than everyone else in the entertainment industry because she isn’t a skinny-minnie and insults skinny people all the time. If someone like Gaga or Rihanna or anyone else said something negative about overweight people they’d get tons and tons of slack for it while Adele gets none.
oh my god tumblr you don’t like anyone
wait what lol
how is she insulting anyone
she’s just saying what she doesn’t want to be???
i don’t want to be a salmon
do i think i’m better than all salmons
do i owe the salmon community and apology
am i salmon-shaming
tumblr why do you hate everything ever oh my lord..
wow tumblr
now i can understand if she went “I don’t want to be anorexic slutty trash” that would be offensive
but she didn’t say that.
and to be honest. No. Adele will never break because she’s a strong woman who has no problem with her body. And no one else does either.
For the last fucking time she isn’t fat.
She’s not even fat shes like normal size. The fuuuuck.
No srsly, when I look back and see how many starlets go from normal sized to super thin- I can understand what she’s saying
Well, what about when a star goes out of her way to show off her workout or special diet, or even becomes a spokesperson for a weight loss program? Are they saying “fat is ugly”, or just doing what they can to better themselves? Although one can argue that women in general have a tremendous amount of pressure on us to fit into society’s norms, and that they may just be playing into that. Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson, Kathy Najimi, Nia Vardalos- they could have just have easily kept their voluptuous figures and would we love them any less? Personally, I’m proud that we have certain celebs who aren’t afraid to make their career about the music and not how “hot” they look.

Think of these steps as a dance rather than a linear progression. Move from one to another and back again as fits your own personal style and journey.
- Stop weighing yourself. Shift your focus from weight & body fat to healthy behaviors and fitness.
- Live now, not in the past…

“FLAWED” by Andrea Dorfman.
Flawed is an impressive animated work from Canadian artist Andrea Dorfman (who also brought us the film; “How To Be Alone”) brings this lovely piece of work that is sweet but serious, heart-warming yet heart-breaking, in which she examines the conflicted feelings that arise when she strikes up a romance with a plastic surgeon. Through an intensely confessional narrative, she discovers that secret to getting the boy to accept her is to learn to accept herself.
Please sit and watch all 12 minutes of this amazing film. The beginning advertisement is only 15 seconds ( I know I know, thats like 50 years on internet time), but its completely worth it.

Lionel, 99, and his wife Ellen Buxton, 100, met in March 1930, married on July 18th 1936 and have been inseperable ever since.
The couple, together a total of 82 years, have not spent more than one night apart.
Upon speaking of their marriage, Ellen says:
“We have never been apart really and have never wanted anyone else. We have been married happily because we have been good friends as well as husband and wife.
We have always made sure we have had nice evenings out together. Whether it is going for a romantic meal or out to play bingo
‘We are more in love now than ever. We keep each other going.”

” RODALE NEWS, EMMAUS, PA—At this point, it’s common knowledge that high-fructose corn syrup and refined sugar are bad for us. But given all the marketing hype behind different “natural” alternatives, it’s hard to know which ones really are the best sweeteners. Complicating matters, new studies, like one just published in the journal Cancer Research, are finding that fructose, a sugar found in high-fructose corn syrup, agave, honey, and, in small amounts, even in fruit, actually feeds some cancers. But don’t give up apples and oranges, or even honey, based on a single study. “Natural sugars found in fruits and vegetables—things like berries, green apples, grapefruit, kiwi—are needed to feed beneficial microflora in the gut for a healthy immune system,” explains Donna Gates, who led the movement to bring stevia, a natural sweetener, into this country more than a decade ago. “That’s why nature put a little bit of sugar in fruits and vegetables. It keeps the ecosystem alive in us,” she says, adding that the small amounts of fructose in fruits and vegetables are balanced with minerals, vitamins, and other vital nutrients. “Our body reads it differently,” she notes.
Fruits and vegetables provide a perfect sugar fix, but when you’re in need of a sweetener to add to iced tea, baked goods, or anything else, make sure you know the difference between the good guys and bad guys of the sweetener world. (Some of the not-so-sweet details could leave you gagging.)…
